Scholarship Data Standard

About the Scholarship Data Standard

The Scholarship Data Standard is a royalty-free industry standard that helps more students get funds for college by allowing them to quickly and easily re-use their scholarship applications between many scholarship providers without retyping their information. Since the standard defines an electronic schema for scholarship applications, it also allows scholarship providers to automatically process scholarship applications regardless of origin. Additionally, the standard provides a bridge between scholarship software tools that were not originally designed to work together. Ultimately, the standard is intended to provide students with broader access to higher education.

The Scholarship Data Standard is royalty free and was developed by a working group of NSPA Members. 		This NSPA initiative was made possible by a generous grant from the Michael & Susan Dell Foundation.
